Chotovelli Watch

My reliable Technomarine is already dying on me. Literally! The hands are still moving (which tells me the battery is still ok), but whenever I leave for work, I noticed how I have to synchronize it, almost every f-ing day! Im no watch connoisseur, aside from the fact that I cannot afford to be one, but this only means something. I need to get a new one! I've been checking the Toy Watch with all the colors and spunky designs (actually dreaming). But realized, I have always preferred my watch in black for a more classic, sophisticated, and masculine look. Lo and behold, I stumbled upon this gorgeous timepieces, now available in the Philippines, and the prices very reasonable.

Chotovelli Pilot Watches are from Torino Italy. According to their website, these watches are powered by an Alfa Romeo Twin Spark Engine (wow, sounds luxurious to me! haha!).

These are my top picks, but the last is my favorite, since it's the only one I can afford, haha! Oh well time to work for this.

You can buy Chotovelli watches here and at T Florencio Jewelry, Shangri-La Hotel Makati.

P.S. Prices are subject to change so please check their website.

Shop Find: The American Shop

I've already seen this little corner before, but was not very impressed with their selection. It was like a PX store but with very limited items and un-updated products.

Just to kill time, we visited again the place, and wow, the place is re-stocked with interesting items. Here are few items that caught my eye:

I was surpised to see this Thakoon for Target skirt! Love it!

If you enjoy thrift shopping, this place is worth a visit. They have clothes, houseware, decor, etc. As for the prices, most items do not come very cheap. i think its the hunt and the unexpected find which makes it more interesting.

MNG Sale

Just a quick update, Mango is already on sale! And that's part of their annual all-out sale which happens around June and January. My sisters and I visited the Powerplant branch, and wow, stocks are still great (though while we were there, people are literally hoarding)! Love love the linen shorts, trousers and jackets (perfect for the rainy days).

Tip: Mango goes on sale first, give it a week or two, expect Zara with their grand sale (which I looove!).

Crispin & Basilio

Another reason to be proud...Manila bred, FIT-educated and now LA-based, Donny Barrrios is one designer to watch! I love the soft palette he used for his Spring 09 collection, and the structured yet feminine looks. And did I say I love the shoes?!

P.S Nice how he tried to name his label after the fictional characters of Noli Me Tangere. Proud.

Facebook

You can already grab your vanity URL for your own facebook account. Hurry, if you happen to share a name with someone, your name may no longer be available.

According to Facebook:
"Starting at 12:01 a.m. EDT on Saturday, June 13, you'll be able to choose a username on a first-come, first-serve basis for your profile and the Facebook Pages that you administer by visiting Facebook. You'll also see a notice on your home page with instructions for obtaining your username at that time.

Facebook usernames will be available in basic text forms, and you can only choose a single username for your profile and for each of the Pages that you administer. Your username must be at least five characters in length and only include alphanumeric characters (A-Z, 0-9), or a period or full stop ("."). While usernames are currently available only for Romanized text, we're looking at how we might support non-Romanized characters in the future.

Think carefully about the username you choose. Once it's been selected, you won't be able to change or transfer it. If you signed up for a Facebook Page after May 31 or a user profile after today at 3 p.m. EDT, you may not be able to sign up for a username immediately because of steps we've taken to prevent abuse or "squatting" on names."

Go! Make it easier for your friends to locate you, and just own your space! Yipee, glad I got the first dibs on my name! Hehehe! I tell you it's a bummer when you can't have your name in all possible combinations!

The Swacket

This is really one piece of clothing I wish I own. I am huge fan of multi-functional pieces, not only for economical reasons, but because of the endless possibilites I can come up with my humble wardrobe. These are just 4 looks you can do with the Swacket (my favorites) and wow, I think I can come up with a number with this!

Vaccination

1. Fever?
2. Colds?
3. Sore throat?
4. Cough?
5. Direct contact with people who just traveled?

YES. I found myself a bit scared when I got the flu last week. I had to stay home for 3 days, and the heavy rains even made it worse whenever I had to leave the house, always drenched in rain. Though I am pretty confident that I don't have "the flu", my mom, being the doctor that she is suggested that it is better to just get a vaccine, most especially since I take the train everyday when im off to work.

My sister injected this to me this morning. Funny, I was scared that it might be painful, haha! I can't remember the last time I had another vaccination!

I was surprised to see this! I though this strain was just a new discovery. Does this mean i'm H1N1 protected?

Gabrielle Kai

To jumpstart the long weekend (no work tom!), here are gorgeous images from photographer, Gabrielle Kai. The images are so dreamy that all I wanna do is lie down on lush meadows and just stare at the bright blue skies.

Don't you just love these beauties?

Sophia Coppola for LV

Gorgeous! I know how hard it is to look for the "perfect" everyday bag to carry the essentials and the not so's. This is definitely what I'm looking for, without the screaming "I am LV", and the size and shape is tdf! Wish this one grows in trees...

Bicycle

Lately P has been obsessed with bikes. He has been urging me to also get a bike for myself. I would love a Japanese bike, with a basket filled with baguettes and fresh flowers.

L.E.N.Y

I chanced upon these bags via Luis via Roma and Colette's. Initially I thought this was a new line with collaborations done with different personalities. The bags are so fabulous, and the thing is, these are for a good cause!
